Duties and Responsibilities
- Account opening and deposit mobilisation
- Identifying deposit mobilisation opportunities and closing on them in a timely fashion
- Constantly cross-selling to ensure that each account is equipped with at least 3 products
- Constantly and actively participating in sales meetings
- Proposing marketing and sales strategies to management to help to close on identified business opportunities
- Ensuring a robust execution of established sales call plans and constantly giving feedback on the outcome
Key Attributes and Skills
- Holder of at least a 1st degree (or its equivalent) in banking, finance, sales, marketing or any related discipline
- Bilingual in French and English
- At least 2 years of experience acquired in a microfinance or banking institution in the sales function
- Strong and verifiable track record of constantly hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong address book
- Strong knowledge of microfinance products with a clear understanding of their benefits to customers and to the institution
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Visibly a charismatic individual with a pleasing personality
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against set objectives
- Basic social media marketing skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Familiar with the functioning of any microfinance accounting software
