Duties and Responsibilities
- Â Account opening and deposit mobilisation
- Â Identifying deposit mobilisation opportunities and closing on them in a timely fashion
- Â Constantly cross-selling to ensure that each account is equipped with at least 3 products
- Â Constantly and actively participating in sales meetings
- Â Proposing marketing and sales strategies to management to help to close on identified business opportunities
- Â Ensuring a robust execution of established sales call plans and constantly giving feedback on the outcome
Key Attributes and Skills
- Â Holder of at least a 1st degree (or its equivalent) in banking, finance, sales, marketing or any related discipline
- Â Bilingual in French and English
- Â At least 2 years of experience acquired in a microfinance or banking institution in the sales function
- Â Strong and verifiable track record of constantly hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Â Strong address book
- Â Strong knowledge of microfinance products with a clear understanding of their benefits to customers and to the institution
- Â Strong oral and written communication skills
- Â Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Â Visibly a charismatic individual with a pleasing personality
- Â Ability to work under pressure and deliver against set objectives
- Â Basic social media marketing skills
- Â Ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Â Familiar with the functioning of any microfinance accounting software
