Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Account opening and deposit mobilisation
  •  Identifying deposit mobilisation opportunities and closing on them in a timely fashion
  •  Constantly cross-selling to ensure that each account is equipped with at least 3 products
  •  Constantly and actively participating in sales meetings
  •  Proposing marketing and sales strategies to management to help to close on identified business opportunities
  •  Ensuring a robust execution of established sales call plans and constantly giving feedback on the outcome

Key Attributes and Skills

  •  Holder of at least a 1st degree (or its equivalent) in banking, finance, sales, marketing or any related discipline
  •  Bilingual in French and English
  •  At least 2 years of experience acquired in a microfinance or banking institution in the sales function
  •  Strong and verifiable track record of constantly hitting or exceeding sales targets
  •  Strong address book
  •  Strong knowledge of microfinance products with a clear understanding of their benefits to customers and to the institution
  •  Strong oral and written communication skills
  •  Strong reporting and analytical skills
  •  Visibly a charismatic individual with a pleasing personality
  •  Ability to work under pressure and deliver against set objectives
  •  Basic social media marketing skills
  •  Ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  •  Familiar with the functioning of any microfinance accounting software
