Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit SESAME reports to COBAC quarterly and annually
- Prepare and submit Annual Tax Declarations (DSF) to the tax department
- Calculate and be able to interpret mandatory prudential ratios as defined by the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC)
- Prepare the Financial Statement (balance sheet and income statement)
- Manage suppliers’ payments
- Identify and resolve invoicing issues and accounting discrepancies
- Perform financial analysis and reporting
- Prepare various periodic reports (daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
- Oversee the validation of transactions and verification of their overall impact on the general ledger accounts
- Analyze and justify GL accounts
- Prepare Performance Management Dashboards
- Perform bank and other accounting reconciliations
- Prepare and manage the budget
- Develop and propose accounting procedures and policies
- Report to management on business operations and financial health
- Validate accounting results in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Monitor banking and accounting operations
- Manage the institution’s treasury (investments, deposit mobilization, etc.)
- Monitor and manage month-end and year-end closing operations
- Perform other general accounting tasks
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Professional Certification in accounting (e.g. ACCA) will be an added advantage
- At least five (05) years of relevant work experience gained from a category II microfinance institution

- o Knowledge of relevant finance and microfinance laws
