Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for a strict respect of the Cash Management and Cash Handling Policy
- Supervising the activities of Tellers
- Managing cash disbursements and receipts from other branches and banks
- Processing vault transactions against authorized justifying documents
- Managing the vault and strong room
- Disbursing cash to tellers and securing cash from tellers in the vault at close of business
- Ensuring effective management of the vault register.
Key Attributes and Skills
- At least a first degree (or its equivalent)
- Experience working as a Teller or Head Teller in a microfinance or banking institution
- Strong understanding of cash management
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience using the Teller Module of any banking software.
